Look for medium-sized mangoes with a slightly dipped top, rounded bottom, thin skin, and a distinctive sweet aroma near the stalk.
Hapus mangoes are loved for their rich sweetness, saffron-coloured pulp, delightful aroma, and smooth, creamy texture.
They have a naturally sweet, rich flavour with a smooth, almost fibreless pulp that melts in your mouth.
Ripe Hapus mangoes develop a sweet, fruity aroma near the stalk and gradually soften when gently pressed.
The Geographical Indication (GI) Tag recognises the connection between authentic regional Alphonso mangoes and their geographical origin in the Konkan region.
The Konkan region's unique soil, coastal climate, and growing conditions contribute to their distinctive flavour, aroma, and texture.
